Workforce Management Office (WFMO) Serving NOAA's Most Valuable Asset - People
Hurricane Katrina Response
Payroll Information: (as of 9/7/05)
NFC is operating
NFC is in full Continuing Operations mode and is operating from its two remote sites in Philadelphia and Dallas.
NFC may not yet be fully operational, but they are working to restore all systems soon.
NFC is "trying its best" to get all systems up and running, get all accessions entered, process separations (especially retirement actions), and get their file transfers to/from clients and providers. They may "only be able to bring up a couple of systems at a time."
The NFC center in New Orleans is not destroyed; however, it was surrounded by water, there was no power, and it is not known when they will be able to return to New Orleans. Meanwhile, operations continue from the alternate locations.
