Other Deadlines
The
minimum appraisal period for NOAA employees is 120
days. That is, an employee must serve 120 days in
a position before he or she can be rated
on that position.
An
employee who enters a new position after the start
of the appraisal cycle must have a new, approved
performance
plan within 60 days.
An
employee who disagrees with a rating and wishes to
have higher-level review must provide written comments
within 5 workdays to the reviewing official.
The
reviewing official has 10 workdays to respond to the employee in writing.
