SUBJECT:    QSI Certification

I certify that the following individuals have been submitted by their rating officials for receipt of a Quality Step Increase (QSI), and approved by the official responsible for administering the applicable awards budget.  For each recipient, I am also certifying that the performance evaluation on which this QSI is based contains written documentation as to how performance for each critical element exceeded expectations.

These QSIs are in accordance with NAO-202-451 and the appropriate line or staff office incentive awards plan/implementing guidance.  NOTE:  This includes requirement for higher-level management review, if any, provided for in the appropriate LO/SO incentive awards plan, and the provisions pertaining to multiple QSIs (i.e., minimum 52-week waiting period and approval by head of LO/SO or designee).
