NOAA Human Resources - Bronze Medal Awards Page Heading

Go to: 2005 Bronze Medal Recipients

The Bronze Medal is the highest honor award that can be granted by the Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere. Winners are recognized annually at a formal ceremony held in the Washington Metropolitan area. The medals are awarded to individuals, groups (or teams), and organizations. Individuals and members of groups each receive a framed certificate signed by the Under Secretary. Organizations receive one certificate to represent the entire organization.

Nominations should be submitted on the Bronze Nomination Form and forwarded electronically to your Line or Corporate Office PMAC coordinator as an email attachment.

Each nomination must be vetted and approved at the Line or Corporate Office level (this usually involves a PMAC) before final submission to WFMO. (If you have questions about your office's PMAC, please contact your awards liaison).

Eligibility
Only Federal employees, as defined in 5 USC 2105, are eligible for Bronze Medal nominations.
