The Administrator’s Award is a combination honorary and monetary award designed to recognize NOAA-specific contributions. The award consists of a plaque and $5,000.00. In the case of group awards, the $5,000.00 is split equally among the members. All awards are funded by the nominating LO/SO. Winners are recognized annually at a formal ceremony held in the Silver Spring Auditorium. Administrator's Awards are granted to individuals and groups; each winner receives an engraved plaque signed by the Under Secretary.

Timing
The Administrator's Award open nomination season generally runs from October through May. Nominations should be submitted to each Line or Corporate Office PMAC (Performance Management and Awards Committee) which vets all the nominations from that office. The approved nominations are then sent forward to WFMO by May 1st. The winners are usually announced during the summer with the ceremony occuring in the fall.

Eligibility
Eligibility for the Administrator’s Awards includes all NOAA employees (only Federal employees, as defined in 5 USC 2105, are eligible); members of the Senior Executive Service may receive honorary recognition but remain ineligible to receive the monetary award.
Nomination Procedures:
- Complete the Administrator's Award Nomination Form
- Fill out a CD-326lf, Recommendation for Recognition:
- Complete Blocks 1 - 6
- In Block 7, type “See Attached” and attach aforementioned Word document
- Have Assistant Administrator or Staff Office Director sign in Block 11.
- Send the CD-326lf and the nomination form to your Line or Corporate Office PMAC. Once it is approved at the PMAC level, the nomination form should be sent electronically to: jennifer.heyob @noaa.gov. Forward the original of the CD-326lf as well as a copy of the Word document to:
