What is the NOAA Leadership Seminar?

NOAA senior management is sponsoring the NOAA Leadership Seminar (NLS) on March 21-24, 2005 at the Airlie Center in Warrenton, VA. Line offices will host post-seminar meetings on Thursday, March 24. Attendance will be limited to 150 NOAA-wide participants at the GS13-15 (or equivalent) levels. Participants will be nominated by their Line or Staff Office, and have opportunities to network with NOAA senior leaders, guest speakers, and peer employees.

The NLS is planned to be held bi-annually to maximize the number of NOAA employees that can be accommodated. The next NLS is tentatively scheduled for August 22-25, 2005.

The objectives of the seminar are to provide participants with:

  • A better understanding of the NOAA Vision and strategies to achieve it;
  • Knowledge of how they can contribute to "One NOAA"; and
  • A setting conducive to communicating and networking with other seminar participants and senior NOAA leaders.
Additional information regarding the NLS can be found in the links below.
