VERA/VSIP - In January, NOAA received authority from the Office of Personnel Management to participate in both the Voluntary Early Retirement Authority (VERA) and the Voluntary Separation Incentive Payments (VSIP)programs, effective through December 31, 2012. The VERA/VSIP authorities will allow NOAA flexibility in managing the organizationto support existing and emerging mission-critical needs.

Thrift Savings Plan Deferral - The 2012 Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) Elective Deferral Limit will change to $17,000 for regular TSP contributions and will remain at $5,500 for TSP Catch-Up Contributions (TSP CUCs). Read more about it here.
